UTV' s entertainment channel for the youth Bindass had its first concert called the 'Airtel Bindaas India' concert yesterday at the MMRDA grounds in Mumbai and the top draw at the event was none other than the presence of the Baadshah of Bollywood Shah Rukh Khan.

The concert gave the die-hard SRK fans an opportunity to interact and get up, close and personal with their favorite matinee idol. The show hosted by Sajid Khan had opening acts by Rakhi Sawant, Mouli Dave, Neeti Mohan, and Kunal Ganjawala, enthralling the audiences. However, the temperature actually started soaring when actors like Dia Mirza, Dino Morea, and Priyanka Chopra took centre-stage dancing to some of their popular tracks.

But the frenzy reached its maximum when King Khan made an entry. The stylish look, the well-toned physique, and his much-loved dimpled smile sent the crowds in a tizzy. Shah Rukh kept his act interactive for most part. He first called on two winners of the 'Dance with SRK' contest and gave tips on how to woo a girl even as his chartbuster 'Aankhon Mein Teri' from OSO played in the background. Next up was a performance on Don with SRK teaching yet another winner some mean tricks. Last but not the least a young girl from Jaipur had an unforgettable time as King Khan flirted around with her while swaying to the tunes of Pretty Woman from Kal Ho Na Ho.

As it was time to say Good-bye the winners were given gifts like a certificate, a copy of Shah Rukh's biography SRK- Still Reading Khan and a large size cut out of the star which he himself autographed.

Even as the show ended, people were waiting near the VVIP car-park to get one last look at their favorite superstar. One thing is for sure when it comes to super-stardom and mass fan following there is no one to beat Shah Rukh Khan.

MUMBAI: Essel Group's direct to home (DTH) service Dish TV has appointed actor Shah Rukh Khan as its brand ambassador.

However, when contacted by, Dish TV vice president marketing Anjali Malhotra Nanda denied the development.

Sources close to the actor said that Khan shot for the company’s ads last month. “Shah Rukh Khan will be endorsing Dish TV and has completed shooting for the print and television ads for the company,” said the source.

Dish TV has approximately 2.1 million subscribers and more than 171 national and international channels. SRK, on the other hand, already endorses a range of products like Tag Heuer, Pepsi, Hyundai, AirTel, ITC SunFeast, ICICI, Emami Fair and Handsome, Compaq, Videocon and S Kumar’s Belmonte amongst others.

Shahrukh Khan, the face for TOI's 'Lead India' campaign, holds up the letters D and O to spell 'Do'

When planning the 'Lead India', people at the The Times of India chose Shahrukh Khan to be the face of the campaign. Bollywood's 'badshah' seemed like a natual choice given that he has in more ways than one stood for all the qualities that the Lead India campaign is associated with, one of them being Action as opposed to mere thought.

Beginning from being a rank outsider in the industry Khan chose to DO what he did - draw up his own road to success - empowering himself to lead. TIMES NOW took a peak into the making of the Lead India promotional campaign calling on today's youth to come forward and showcase their capability as the Leaders of tomorrow.

"I believe in doing"

It was a sultry monsoon morning when, while Mumbai city was just about waking up, a studio came alive with activity before the shoot by The Times Group, one of the biggest media houses in the country.

Playing the 'lead', so to speak, was Shahrukh Khan, one of the biggest stars in Bollywood. Quite in keeping with King Khan's personal motto, LEAD INDIA is a campaign which focuses not on thought but action - a campaign which pushes you not to think but do, a campaign with only two poignant letters: D and O.

"I believe in doing. Just thinking, planning, deciding is good, but I think doing is the best way to find out whether it's going to work or not, a matter of fact I even believe things you don't want to do you should do, so you don't regret the fact that you never tried," Khan told TIMES NOW between takes in which he holds the letters 'D' and 'O' to illustrate the power of action in the here and now.
